You are cordially invited to the opening of the exhibition Sea and Saltpans,
taking place on Wednesday, 16 July 2026, at 7:00 pm at Caserma in the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park.
The exhibition brings together the works of Chiara Seminerio and Janez Ovsec, two artists whose distinct artistic expressions are united by a shared sensitivity to landscape, light and the relationship between people and nature. Through different visual languages, both explore the beauty of the Mediterranean environment and its enduring connection with human experience.
Chiara Seminerio approaches painting with remarkable attention to architecture, vegetation and the subtle interplay of light. Her realistic style, refined colour palette and careful observation of detail invite visitors into a contemplative dialogue with the landscape.
Janez Ovsec, an established Slovenian painter and watercolour artist, is recognised for his evocative depictions of the Slovenian coast and Mediterranean scenery. His works are distinguished by their sensitivity to light, atmosphere and colour, creating harmonious compositions that convey both tranquillity and emotion.
The exhibition Sea and Saltpans offers visitors the opportunity to experience two artistic perspectives on a landscape shaped by the sea, the salt pans, and light – a unique environment that has inspired artists and visitors alike for centuries.
The exhibition will be on view at Caserma in the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park from July 16 to September 6, 2026.
