You are cordially invited to the opening of the painting exhibition "Seasoned with Salt" by Sabina Slana Cvikl, which will take place in Caserma Gallery at Lera in the Sečovlje Salt Pans Nature Park on Friday, 9 May 2025, at 6 pm. The exhibition will be open from Monday to Sunday, until 29 June 2025.
About the exhibition:
Sabina Slana Cvikl loves to travel. She has visited some 90 countries. She tries to put the beautiful and colourful planet, all the emotions that overwhelm her, on paper or canvas with a strong will and perseverance and a striving for perfection. She uses a variety of techniques, from pencil, acrylic, watercolour, pastels and charcoal to etching, and she is no stranger to sculpture.
She has received several quality certificates for her work at regional and national level, including for her photographs, as part of the Golden Palette. She has already had several solo exhibitions in Litija and Ljubljana. Many of her works have been exhibited in various projects and exhibitions in cooperation with the LILA association, where she is an active member under the mentorship of Zoran Poznic, Branet Praznik, Jože Potokar and others.
"Sabina Slana Cvikl's painting is, in its essence, an attempt at a kind of recapitulation, not only of inner personal experiences, but also manifested through a seemingly uncritical, yet highly engaged attitude towards the world. The stories that the painter puts before us are multilayered. The art-theoretical starting points that the painter has developed over the last few years of her career testify to an immense need not only to create, but also to educate and discover new worlds within the infinite field of visual creation.
