THE AUTHOR AND THE EXHIBITION
Mojca Gazič completed her Master's degree in Unique Design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in 2012, under the supervision of Professor Tanja Pak. She has been involved in goldsmithing since 2016 when she first attended a long workshop with a master goldsmith in Padua. This was followed by advanced training at goldsmith schools in Florence and Rome. She makes jewellery mainly in silver, interweaving different goldsmithing techniques. The exhibition of contemporary jewellery is accompanied by a series of photographs on canvas, which present a macro view of the work surface where the jewellery is made.
''The world seems to present us with increasingly complex life situations and challenges, sometimes very difficult to define. The logic of thinking in the past seems to collapse and sometimes one feels that one has no control over events and that all one's efforts and commitment to a better tomorrow are just a drop in the ocean. Yet, without all the drops, there would be no ocean: every drop counts. We are all part of the whole. And we are all the whole.
