Robert and Monika Podpečan are from Šentjur near Celje. Painting has been in their family for three generations. They work under the name Panarok ART, by which they are increasingly present at art events in the country and abroad.
Their speciality is that they paint some works together, especially larger formats. In this way, they combine their artistic energy. Because they are different in terms of art, their joint works of art are special.
Those who know them can see in each work who has contributed which part of the painting. They each have their own creative space where new works are created to the sound of music. Their works are characterised by their colourful and positive motifs. They draw these from nature, where they spend a lot of time. They often visit the Velika Planina, Bled, coastal places and Prekmurje.
Many of their motifs are also drawn from our cultural heritage, where they try to promote Slovenia in the world in some way (landscapes, the Slovenian ornament by Jože Karlovšek, etc.). Their works on Bled and Lipica have been given a new owner or exhibited outside our country (USA, France, Croatia, Czech Republic and India).
Monika also paints on umbrellas, the number of painted umbrellas is close to 700.
This year's exhibition "Scent of the Sea" is very special for Robert and Monika, as they love to paint sea motifs, which they also collect through frequent visits to the coast.
