Dark chocolate with Fleur de sel and Spirulina

We are most happy and proud to offer you our dark chocolate with salt flowers and spirulina, which is organically grown in Kranj (Slovenia).

The chocolate contains as much as 62% cocoa solids and a pinch of salt flower, our most precious salt. The special taste of chocolate is given by the addition of Spirulina, a blue-green algae, which is a very popular ingredient in dietary supplements and is described by many as a superfood.

Spirulina has a unique nutritional profile. It is basically composed of proteins (60 to 70%) and also contains 8 t.i. essential amino acids that our body cannot produce on its own. It also contains many micronutrients (vitamins, minerals) such as B vitamins (B6, B3, B4), vitamin E, calcium, iron, and magnesium. Spirulina is known as blue-green algae, but it is a type of cyanobacteria that contains multiple pigments. In addition to green chlorophyll and a mixture of carotenoids, the typical blue color is a result of high content of phycocyanin, known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
