Traditional salt harvesting is strongly linked to the forces of nature. They create salt-pan mud rich in sea minerals. Your body will gratefully absorb its soothing power upon its first application.
Salt-pan mud is brine-enriched sea mud of pasty, naturally soft consistency and a blackish colour. The sea mud (marine sediment) from selected locations inside the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park is collected, kneaded and taken for maturation. The gradual maturation of the salt-pan mud takes place in maturing pools, where the sea mud is in contact with the brine, from which the mud absorbs salts and its minerals. The salt-pan mud contains many chemical elements, of which silicon, calcium, sodium, magnesium, potassium, sulfur, bromine and iodine predominate.
Usage and tips:
Salt-pan mud can be used for relaxation and beauty purposes – salt-pan mud wraps will make your skin toned and clear while contributing to a healthy skin appearance and reshaping of your body. Salt-pan mud is used as a body wrap because it accelerates the elimination of toxins which helps to transform your body shape and makes your skin appear beautiful and healthy. It is especially recommended for fighting cellulite. It can also be used as a face mask. Salt pan mud tones and cleans the skin, therefore it is recommended for oily and impure skin.
As a body wrap: Apply a thick layer of salt-pan mud to the body (hips, thighs and stomach). Wrap the salt-pan mud covered areas with foil and warm towel on top. After 20 minutes remove the product with the use of the enclosed wooden spatula and discard the used mud wrap in the trash. Rinse the skin with lukewarm water. We recommend a salt scrub prior to the wrap to exfoliate the skin and prepare the skin for the treatment. The effect of the mud wrap can be further enhanced by using the mud heated to a maximum of 45 °C and massaging the skin with brine-mother water after the wrap. Heat the mud over a water bath. After the wrap, we recommend that you rest for at least 30 minutes.
As a face mask: Remove all makeup and thoroughly cleanse and wipe your face dry. Using your fingers or a cosmetic brush, apply a thin layer of salt-pan mud on your face, avoiding the area around the eyes. Allow the salt-pan mud to dry for about 15-20 minutes, then remove it with a wet wipes or cotton wool and rinse the skin with lukewarm water. After a mud mask, we recommend using a moisturizing face cream. We recommend using it once a week.
Caution: Mix the product thoroughly before use with the help of the enclosed wooden spatula. After
use close the product tightly. Do not discard the product into the drain and
prevent contact of the product with bathroom surfaces, since the resulting
stains are difficult to remove. If you do not use the entire product, the remaining
salt-pan mud should be covered with a layer of brine-mother water. Use within
two months of opening.
The product is intended for external use only and
should not be used on open wounds, chronic eczema and/or hypersensitivity to
salt-pan mud. It must not come into contact with mucous
membranes. For skin and/or cardiovascular problems, it is recommended that you consult a doctor before
